Light Chasers: An Intersection of Science and Art

In August of 2018 I received word that I was awarded a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council to develop a photography exhibit. The full title of my project is, “Light Chasers: An Intersection of Science and Art.”

I’ll have a reception for my final exhibit on August 9, 2019, from 6-8pm, in the Turret Gallery at the Castle Community, in cooperation with Threshold Arts. Click Here to see the event on Facebook.

After August 9th, you can view the virtual exhibit by clicking here.

In this project I explore the pursuit of light from the perspective of a photographer using photographic film, as well as the pursuit of light from a scientific understanding. Just to keep things interesting, I also explore the use of coffee to develop black and white film. Read more about this on my blog, and keep up on my progress by clicking on the updates below.
